Announcing a new Meetup for Chicago-land Green & Eco-living (CGE)!
What: "Home" Screening and Discussion When: Saturday, August 14, 2010 1:00 PM Where: Sulzer Public Library 4455 N. Lincoln Avenue Chicago, IL 60625 Per some of your recommendations we are going to watch "Home" "Home" is a 2009 documentary by Yann Arthus-Bertrand. The film is almost entirely composed of aerial shots of various places on the Earth. It shows the diversity of life on Earth and how humanity is threatening the ecological balance of the planet. The movie was released simultaneously on June 5, 2009 in cinemas across the globe, on DVD, Blu-ray, television, and on YouTube. By opening in 181 countries, the film broke the world record for the largest film release in history. Here is a short (2.5 min) trailer: http://www.youtube.co...  The movie is about one-and-half-hours long and will be followed by a discussion. Then we will have some socializing/networking along with some food samples donated by Loving Hut restaurant! Free movie, interesting discussion, and free food - anything else can we wish for? This is a joint event between Chicago-land Green & Eco-Living (CGE), ChicagoVeg, and Chicago-land Documentary and Indie Films (CDIF) We are asking that you RSVP at CGE meetup, so we could track RSVPs as the number of seats is limited.
