Festivities begin in Millennium Park at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion at 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Please join us with director Peter Byck, producers Craig Sieben, Karen Weigert, Artemis Joukowsky, Chrisna van Zyl, narrator Bill Kurtis and many of the stars of the movie for the Chicago Premiere of Carbon Nation.
"Carbon Nation" is a positive, solutions-based, non-preachy, non-partisan, big tent film about tackling climate change while boosting the economy, increasing national & energy security along with promoting good health and a robust environment.

*This FREE Film is 90 minutes long and will be shown at 8:00 p.m.*
Public transportation is highly-recommended in the downtown area. Please be advised since this is a large, open park it might be a little difficult to find us. We will try to find some available seats in the center or, if it will be taken, on the lawn area in the center behind the benches so may consider bringing a blanket/chair/umbrella just in case.

This event will be a joint event with Chicago-land Documentary and Indie Films (CDIF) Meetup
Please use "Talk about this Meetup" area in the bottom of the event page to offer/ask for rides or to post any questions/comments. For the last minute issues (i.e, you can not find us), please call the cell number that will be emailed one-day prior to this event to everyone who RSVP'ed Yes.
Beth, thank you very much! We will keep that in mind and contact you directly.
Are we all meeting up someplace specific within the Pritzker Pavilion at 7:30 PM? 7:00 PM?
Nel son,
Yes, the group is to meetup at 7:30pm but Siri and I will be there around 7pm ish to set up an area group for in the grass. We will have a sign and a blue tarp to mark the area (hopefully somewhere near the front) so search for us there. A cell phone number will be emailed out tonight in case you can't find us, you can call. See you there! Kimberly
I'm excited! I'm sure I'll find the right people.. everyone in the pavilion will mostly be there for this screening right? It's not that big, and unless there's another event just ending, there shouldn't be many people there?
Hi Nathan,
As far as I can tell, this is the only event going on today in the Pavillion. There may be other events going on throughout Millenium Park but yes, everyone in the Pavillion will be there for the screening. Can't say how crowded it will be there since it is a free public event.
Another oil disaster!
