Please join us for a free one-day only event. Dirt was chosen as an "Official Selection for Sundance 2009." This film is not in wide-release.

Dirt, it’s under our feet. But what is it? And how did it get there? Inspired by William Bryant Logan’s acclaimed book "Dirt: The Ecstatic Skin of the Earth," directors Bill Benenson and Gene Rosow take a critical look at our complex relationship with dirt and the solutions to restore this vital natural resource. Get the 'dirt’ on how industrial farming, mining and urban development has led us toward cataclysmic droughts, starvation, floods and climate change.

If anyone had a problem finding me, you should have just called my cell number which I had given out prior to this event. It can be difficult to find people in a crowd.

An interesting film focusing on something that's so overlooked - the soil of our planet, earth. I enjoyed the 6 person panel discussion which followed the film. It was great to hear that many teachers and students are actively involved in more eco-friendly pursuits and had good information about composting.
